I don't know how much you folks followed this Byob but Glen and I logged many late night hours and many phone calls to each other. Not as many as Curt and I but I gotta say I sure miss them.

Hey Bobby! Hope you’re doing alright. Sun is back just a little bit here today. We missed the slippery roads here in G town.

Morning all, Bobby, Garland, Syed, Fred. Icy blast here in the middle of a hot summer, but the rain was welcome. It was described as 'firehose weather'.

Fun delivery today. I was able to be mostly the grunt, helping schlep the table in. His client was ecstatic a, bout how it turned out, and gave him a $150 'bonus'. He bought pizza for the mob to celebrate. The babies weren't sure what we were celebrating... but they approved <G> He's already working on the next one. A simple screen to hide some recycling bins. I helped him a bit with the engineering is all.

Thanks. Mostly Son2's work. I showed him some design details that'd work - aprons mortised into legs, top floating but held down with z-clips - but he did most of the machining & joinery.

Every bit of wood is 'reclaimed'. There's a place in town that specializes. They seem to be doing well, and growing. And their prices are very good, as long as you're willing to incorporate some of the 'defects' into your design. So I went and picked out the stock, being careful to choose tight-grain, old-growth Douglas Fir... with vertical or rift grain for the top (to minimize movement).

You'll have to show us some fotos!!

    Wool socks.
Actually you acclimate to it. Like I said it's dry.
But this crazy up and down temps (yesterday was 30°) makes it hard to get used to it.
Just wear 8 layers of clothing.

Yeah, the frost line here is around 4-5'. If we get enough snow it insulates it somewhat.
