    Default Clever business name

"Reason and facts are sacrificed to opinion and myth. Demonstrable falsehoods are circulated and recycled as fact. Narrow minded opinion refuses to be subjected to thought and analysis. Too many now subject events to a prefabricated set of interpretations, usually provided by a biased media source. The myth is more comfortable than the often difficult search for truth."

We knew some ladies who made shopping bags from recycled tee shirts, and called their business Tee Bags, but these furniture cats have found an edge of an entirely new envelope.

All I can say is bravo.

    Tricksy!

Back in the 70's, in boom-time, irreverent, hippietown Eugene, OR... a lot of young lads started businesses with funny names. The one that stuck with me was a pair of smartasses who started a business putting up PoleBarns. "Quick Erections". Another lovely effort was one lively young lady who opened a restaurant called "The Eggsnatcher". Nothing notable, until they released their bumper-stickers and print ads: "Eat At The 'Snatch".

I knew a woman who worked for an awful boss we both shared. After she left that job, she started a cookie company named "Bite Me". I like to think the name had real meaning.

I’ve often wondered how many small short lived businesses were started because someone thought of a clever name, but had no business plan whatsoever.

Local blues sweetheart Linda Hornbuckle was frontwoman for notorious problem child Paul Delay's band.

She'd had enough and went solo and named her first (most excellent) album "No Delay".

We had a hamburger place. Name wasn't funny, but they had this big sign "U.S. Government inspected beef" I always asked, "Did it pass?"

A much appreciated classic. Sadly, now closed. It had a very long run, however. As downtown got increasing crazed I stopped going there. Finally... real estate machinations got to them, iirc.
