    Indeed... one of the skills I had to learn along the way was fully informing the client as to the tradeoffs of any proposal, and the advantages I saw with the recommended approach. In the end, it's their choice. I just have to make sure they make a fully informed choice. Sometimes that involves a bit of leaning... or repetition... or even being slightly insistent.

    Less so these days, but my early experience with architects is that many of them assumed their word should be gospel, and were above doing that sort of client education, if it was not immediately taken as such...
