    Default RIP Rev. John Wilkins

I just heard on NPR that Rev. John Wilkins died in October from complications of COVID. I saw him live several times and always enjoyed the show. His three daughters are great singers, I hope they can somehow continue the shows without him. The "All Things Considered" radoi show on NPR is going to be about him today.

He was the son of the Rev. Robert Wilkins who wrote the song Prodigal Son which was covered by the Rolling Stones.

I listened to the short thing about him on NPR, They interviewed his daughters. They intend on keeping up the performances without him. The last time that I saw them, I drove 150 miles round trip. It was a free show and one of the best shows I've seen in my life. I bought a CD from them after the show and Rev. Wilkins autographed it. I would be happy to make the drive again to see the daughters even without their father.

Photo from April, 2019. They had just back from a show in France.

This video is from same location as my photo, but in October of 2019. Eric Deaton on bass. I never got to see Eric play with them.
