Default Biden does himself a disservice

MITCH IS NOT GOING TO WORK WITH BIDEN.

Biden seems to think he's got some control over that. He keeps telling us how he's able to work with Republicans.

I see no evidence of that being true with this set of Republicans.

I cannot recall him saying anything about needing a senate majority to do things he wants to do, and some people, I fear, will vote for him and their Republican senator.

I realize he's trying to convince people he can bring the parties together, but I don't see it happening.

He's from another time. If the Democrats take the Senate, it won't matter what Mitch says.

a leader for a democratic republic can't dwell on the negatives of political opponents. at times he/she will have to force a smile. that's the leadership gig, if you are anything other than a would-be despot.

You select two old damaged men as candidates for what is probably still the most powerful office in the world?

Still probably, but for how long?

Of course such 'power' is only palpable if there is a real threat of it being used……………………...

I’m not sure if Biden actually intends to cooperate with people he knows won’t cooperate, or he’s saying it as part of a deliberate strategy to be different from Trump in tone about almost everything.

So? Every politician who's ever run for office has talked about all sorts of things they'd like to do if elected. Some of them they'll really be able to do, some are long shots, some are nearly impossible.

I think Biden is much more aware than people realize.

Take two seconds and look at the way he handled Bernie Sanders.

I don't know what his strategy is, but I am pretty damn sure the only way he gets anything done is if the senate flips, and he ought to, IMO, say something to that effect.
