    Default Tariffs on aluminum? Again?

Didn't we do - and resolve - this a while ago? And just after we signed the new trade deal a month ago? WTF?

Trade deals with the US are like business arrangements with a con artist.

    Make Aluminium Go Away?
Rio Tinto are closing the local smelter down, and good riddance. Should be more market share for you lot to fight over.

Perhaps he made a deal with Vlad to buy more Russian aluminium. What else is there to discuss in all those phone calls.

Well - here's why. From Tom Dobbins, head of the US e Aluminum Association:

“The few companies that stand to benefit from reinstated 232 tariffs on aluminum have cherry-picked government data and omitted important context to build their case, which unfortunately won the day,” he said.
Obviously the owners of "the few companies" are friends of Trump. Maybe someday we'll have people with a shred of ethics running the US again.
