Think that the farmer in me wants a new tiller out a Hickory.
As I contemplate the sweep of tiller I stare up into the shag bark hickory outside the bathroom window and there is a crook just before the first limb.
How might I go about this. Drop the tree and cut a sect the length of five feet.
Honor the crook I spied out the window and...
Work the wood green Cause after it dries it'll be too hard.
How to split the log down the heart without loosing the sweep?
Hmmm, think there are a few missing steps.
Curing slowly with a bath of boiled linseed oil.
Oh and what to do with all that lovely wood that is left?
When you split Hickory the wood inside looks like a mountain trout. Warm too.
