Seems like an awfully big exhaust pipe for one liter!

Maybe it just gently guides the exhaust gases rather than creating back pressure.

I wish I had a set of those outer laced wheels for my 3 wheeler.

No, not for the Morgan. My replica now has center laced MG TC wheels and the scrub radius is a bit wide. The PA or TA wheels would help that but are hard to find.

I wonder how many of those Rileys actually left the factory as a Brooklands?
However KV9477 is listed as a racing MPH from the factory team, so not a Brooklands.
The 1928 car looks later and I don't think is a Brooklands.

The frame looks to be Model A and the manifold is on the right side.

I can’t speak to engine but the frame is almost certainly Model A, note the mechanical brakes. The frame above is quite different.

"Z'ed", and maybe boxed frame, a dropped axle and dropped front spring perch with split radius rods. Pretty routine modifications if you are going to lower an old Ford. When I was in high school we used to do them using a hack saw and a Lincoln buzz-box. They were never at that level of finish though, we were just kids, and broke!
This one may only have cable operated rear brakes, and the knock-off wheels separate the men from the boys...

It was the tire size I remembered that tricked me. What had 19''x 4'' wires ?

This one is a Delage, perhaps not too sporty but pretty rapid in it's time.

John, this one is a JZR, a kit imported from England. I think the body lines are more pleasing and closer to the Morgan.

An Austin Seven with a bit of a sporting past. I think the blue tractor behind it is probably faster

And before that a bit more of a saloon past, probably as a Ruby.
It's a wee bit crude in places.

This was on the bonnet. Talks of breaking the record from Sydney to Melbourne (560 miles) by 33 minutes in the 2,000cc class - 12 hours 34 minutes, which we will hopefully beat when we go down, week after next.

But is it the same car? Looks nowt like.
Photo looks like a genuine Ulster- why would you hack that around and replace with Ruby bits?
Looks like it has the longer Ruby wheelbase.

Thanks for the information,I used to be very familiar with the kit car world and in fact have a Jago Geep sitting a few feet from me at the moment.I thought Triking because they used to be built very close to here.

This is another view of the Darmont I posted earlier and it has a much longer tail-sorry about the focus being a bit off.

Darmont had body styles of their own design but the chassis and front suspension were built under license from Morgan. At least that's the way i understand it.

Certainly has been nowhere near Malvern Link.

That one is a puzzle. Not a Morgan for sure but I don't think it is a kids car either. Has to be a home built replica with an engine I've never seen before. It has electric starter and magneto???!!
