My next door neighbour in the UK had the V12 in an XJS also. It replaced an E-type coupe, and he kept it for a good while but eventually had to concede it cost too much to run, and replaced it with a Honda Prelude V6.

If I recall, and that's a bunch of years ago, that V-12 had 6 carburetors and what looked like buckets full of linkage rods and bellcranks.

Simpler is better, except when complicated looks really cool.
I'd prefer one a bit older- Bonham's had this for sale.

I always find it refreshing to see a Ferrari that isn't red.

Arrived to take out a new date in the 60s, Noticed a nice Ferrari in the garage. It was silver.
Bit later, in Norfolk, local estate agent (..) drove a very rough 375GTB4. A friend tried to buy it off him, but no luck. I think it was actually scrapped!!
Thinking back and with later knowledge, the 'date's' father's wheels might have been a Superfast 550 or 500. Forget the designations now.
Not actually all that vintage.... but...

The Blastolene B-702
Designed and created by Blastolene Brothers, the Blastolene B-702 is a 19.5 feet long and 94 inches wide handmade roadster enthused by French cars of the 1930s. Michael Leeds and Randy Grubb used a nickel-plated chassis to construct this huge machine.
Under the hood of the Blastolene B-702 is an 11.0L GM V12 petrol engine, also famous by the name "Twin-Six". General Motors created it for its mid-size trucks six decades back. The engine pumps out a huge 650 pounds-feet of torque at just 850 rpm.
"Although the design is obviously European, the B-702 claims to be uniquely American," mentioned Randy Grubb. "We borrowed the beautiful French curves and the classic essence of the Bugattis and Delahayes from the 1930s. We paired them with a gigantic 11L engine. This leads to the American version of these great classics."

A cartoon car.
Will it ever be used on the road?
Just a trifle overdone.. a little restraint and it could have been great.
1937 Cord has a better front end

…… 1935 Bugutti Aero is better.
It's basicly a copy overworked.
The hearse is my daughter and SOL's toy
While it's neither a sportscar nor what we'd call a classic, they have a ton of fun with it. They have a real coffin for it with a big plastic skeleton. On Halloween they stock the coffin with their "treats" and kids have to reach in with the skeleton to get their goodies. I got the MG this winter with the intent of making it a "proper" MG. Needs a fresh engine (came with a spare) and box (ditto) and a whole laundry list of corrections (ride height, sway bar, HS-4 SUs, etc, etc) along with the usual old car stuff. Oughtta keep me busy when I'm not working on das boot.
Somebody is obviously a fan on the classic French way of doing things.

I quite like that, in spite of the leak!
I had a '28 Chev tourer for a while. 4 wheel manual brakes, rods and cotter pins. Vacuum fuel pump was a pest in hot weather. Wooden spoked artillery wheels dried out and got a bit lose so I had a couple of spares sitting in a Linseed filled tub and swapped them about.
Saw this the other day in Dana Point Marina

Look better without the poncey wheel trims and whitewalls. Plus the poseur's bonnet strap.
