Question Penobscot 17 - DVD missing

    Penobscot 17

Arch Davis produces a very informative DVD for building the Penobscot 14, but the techniques are the same for the Penobscot 17.

I have the plans for the Penobscot 17 and started building, but had to sideline the project.

Now want to restart the construction of the Penobscot 17. You may have seen my posts about work benches and tool purchases in other posts.

    I have the DVD somewhere.

However, I can't find the DVD.

It probably is stored in a very secure safe place.

So after a good but fruitless search(es), today I bit-the-bullet and ordered another DVD for US$71.00 including postage, Ouch!

Anyone want a wager that on going home tonight I will look in a drawer/cupboard/etc and the original DVD will be there?

    Is this Murphy's Law?

Does this sort of thing, obviously done by Gremlins, happen to you?

Murphy's Law is everywhere. The chances of something happening are increased by the cost and aggravation it will cause.

    Getting concerned about Murphy's Law.

Have now bought the replacement DVD, they are in transit as I type and yet the original DVD STILL has not resurfaced.

You’re not going to find the original until you’re done building the boat.

I disagree Rob, he's paid for the new one, it's a done deal. The old one can show itself any time. Or rather, once he's received it and opened the sealed package, it will reveal itself.
If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.

Did you look in the DVD player?

The 17 is a fun, fast boat, we owned one for a short time.

    The DVD has arrived.

I await the reappearance of the 'lost' DVD.

Sent 20 June by USPS Priority mail.at a charge of US$35.00.

Finally picked it up at the Post Office yesterday, 9 July 2019.

I just did it. Installed two new rod holders in my boat at $80 each. The next day, stumbled across the two rod holders I bought last fall, and forgot about, with intention to install over the winter.

    Doh!

I'm in a fishing club and pretty sure I can get most of my money back by offering to the membership.

Hope you get your money back.

Alternatively, would an additional two rod holders fit neatly on your boat?

Perhaps a special 'items' to be installed cupboard(s) is need needed by each of us ?

Same deal with carburetor parts, back when cars had them. You'd drop the mainjet or whatever, following its path all the way to somewhere on the floor behind the left front wheel - where it would vanish. Two weeks later, after buying a replacement, you'd spot the original on the floor, unharmed and exactly where you expected it should have been in the first place. Your DVD will reappear in 3...2...1
