Smile

    Hi All,

Tomorrow is my wedding day and my sweetie had an idea to make a little boat shaped ring holder for the ceremony. Our wedding has a distinctly nautical theme

At first I though it was a little silly.. But she wanted it so.....

Specs: It's lapstrake with a little rocker and a raked transom. Contructed with 100% mahogany and gold fittings.

Now that is done, I kinda like it. The things we do...

    Take Care,
    Bob

    Thanks everyone!

I'm pretty lucky - she encourages boat building and tool purchasing

Of course - now and then I have to build something non-boat related. But it is a fair trade.

    It's Sat am now.
Nerves haven't set in yet - probably on the ride up though

Congrats! An auspicious day to make the announcement. SWMTMH and I were married on 26 Sept. It hasn't been all fair winds and following seas (thank god), but it has been ahh, um, 22 years. As someone here, or elsewhere said in a toast, "I wish you enough." Ed

    Everyone,

Thank You for your kind words. We had a great day.

    A couple of Pics:

    From the big day.

Our honeymoon included Bar Harbor Maine and other stopping points. There is a great little town far away from everything called Stonington. This place is like visiting a post card.

The pics don't do it justice..

    Thanks again all,
    Bob

Captain Jon and I tied the KNOT 36 years ago and have some smooth sailing and some rough seas also, but without the storms, how can you really appreciate the calm anchorage at sunset?

We plan to renew our vows just before we move aboard so that we can become newlyweds!

A Toast to You and your Bride!

    Enjoy the voyage!

This type of thread is what the forum is really about when we're not speaking 100% about boats.

    You're a great bunch.

If she appreciates wooden boats she is a keeper!

Our last daughter in law was not!
