Default 2013 Bayou Teche Wooden Boat Show photos

An image gallery is now up at:
    http://techeboatshow.com/?page_id=163&show=gallery
The slideshow feature doesn't seem to be working, I'll try to get it fixed later, but you can click on the first thumbnail then browse through the complete collection. You'll need to switch to Page 2 of the thumnails, shown just below them, to see the next set.
    Thanks everyone!

    Roger,

    Nice photos.

I put together a slideshow on YouTube of some still photos I took during your most excellent event.

    The more pictures, the better!

Is this the queen of the Bayou Teche Black Bear Festival?

It seemed as though she and her entourage did not venture forth into the territory of the "boat people".
Or maybe I just missed the event.

Thanks again to you and your volunteer staff for staging a really great wooden boat show!

    That's a great vid, thanks!
Yes, that's the Queen, and you're right, I don't think she came down our way. I'll have to mention that to someone.

She looks a bit glum, but the bear looks happy

I'm sure she was exhausted by then! She seems like a nice young lady.

    Roger,
Very much enjoyed the show! You and your folks did a fine job. Good people, a lot of beautiful boats, a pretty site, and fantastic weather. It doesn't get any better.
    Thanks again,
    Al

I put together a video of some of the weekend's events. It includes action video clips of the
"Authentic Cajun bateaus from just after the turn of the 20th century. Powered by Lockwood Ash and Nautilus "one-lung" engines."
For accuracy, I quoted from Roger's reply in another thread on BTWBS. http://forum.woodenboat.com/showthre...oden-Boat-Show

The video is long enough to put you to sleep. That's why they have "Fast Forward".

    Default The Selway-Fisher Mandarin 17 as a "flag-ship"

I did some experimenting this afternoon with "flagging" my vessel.

Here is a short video clip of the result.

It still needs some fine tuning, but the concept is there.
I wish I had thought of this concept for this year's show. No problem. I'll just wait until next year.

Don, I'd like to post that on the BTWBS website, if you don't mind.

Yes, post the video to the BTWBS website. Here is a screen capture from this morning's rowing adventure. You can use it and any of the photos I've posted here on the BTWBS website.
