They revitalize my desire to revisit Iceland, this time by sea rather than by air. Just as the artist's work brings reality to the picture that a photo won't get (except of course those photogs who are indeed artists - not knocking the medium) so too I feel that sailing there will be more real than dropping out of the sky.

Though that can be an adventure. As the child of a Skygod (PanAm pilot) back in the prop days when we had to land, there was always the chance of extra time due to storm or fog that kept us from taking off again. I always thought those lay-overs were fun.

Mother, on the other hand, who had been a stewardess before marrying Dad, did not find it such fun when they had a forced landing and were stuck in Iceland for about 2 weeks. In those days, flight crews were expected to really take care of the passengers and Mom's inventiveness in coming up with entertainment in the bleak nastey winter night was taxed to the max.

I don't know how I didn't catch up to these until now. They are wonderful. I have always liked watercolors as a medium. You have done a great job & without brush!
