Here's the Coast Guard commercial fisheries web site where there is a search function of documented vessels by name.

    http://www.st.nmfs.gov/st1/commercia...g_vessel2.html

Results include home port, ownership address, etc. I didn't have any success finding Red Jacket, but there's a Pilar on there that looks like the one someone was looking for a couple of threads ago. If the link doesn't work, you can access the service through the main Coast Guard site. http://www.uscg.mil/ - click on "Services we Provide" and then you'll see "vessel search"

    LOL

We did a search for Pilar (the yacht we were looking for) but the information didn't help because we don't know her exact dimensions and there are no photographs!!!!! Thanks for the advice anyway.

Hey, that's neat - it works, I found my boat. Our club, Master Mariners, is always getting inquiries about boats so I'll add the link. Thanks
