    Smile

Margo, I wanted to save a spot for you to tell us of your safe journey?
Did we steer by a compas at nite?
    Guided by a Concordia Moon?
The Folks from Abeking and Rasmussen are showing which boat in Miami?
Can you get that smell of f&*#%ass out of your nose?
And that silly smile on your face? Shall we use that for the new Gremlin? David

Thanks. It was a cool trip. Actually cold - 20-degree wind chill when we set out Friday. But my policy is whattheheckI'moffworkandonaboat so that was ok.

I was hugely intimidated (and actually shaking before we left) at the company I was keeping, but having reasoned that I wasn't going to learn anything about sailing by standing on the dock turning down perfectly good opportunities (and being goaded into this by a friend), I squared my shoulders and got on with it.

I'm pretty sure we were in some pretty heavy seas Friday night, and I'm pretty sure that I'm glad that I couldn't see what was coming at us. I know at one point I told Steve that folks pay $50+ dollars a head to get into Disney and Islands of Adventure for rides like this, and hey, we're out here for free

Overall, the trip was wonderful. It was good for me to get out, and it was a nice ride down the coast to Miami. Roughly 48 hours dock to dock.

I told Jim Conlin in an e-mail that my primary contribution was the handing of an occasional sandwich or bottle of water up through the companionway, but I stood my watches and didn't screw too much up, so maybe there will be additional opportunities in my future.

As to David's questions, the autopilot did the steering. Can you say spoiled... There were some times when Steve or Jason hand steered, but my watches consisted of curling up in the cockpit snug as a bug in a rug - of course with a repetitive prayer that nothing goes to crap...

The Concordia moon was on my shoulder, but I couldn't tell if it was happy for me or not.

Sarah is my true love and my life-long companion, but days like today I've set foot on both composite and teak decks. The contrast is surreal at times.

I wore my Ocean Planet shirt for 47 of the 48 hours - unfortunately buried under three additional layers. Note to self: three day trip = one change of clothes not three .

We all showered before the turn into Government Cut and I figured pissonthemiftheycan'ttakeajoke and put on my Concordia shirt for the Miami arrival.

David - tell me what A&R is showing - I'm headed back down Saturday.

As to the smell of f&*#%ass, a gal working for me one day (downwind of the Luhrs plant) sniffed and said the smell was like a dentist office - I told her no, that's the smell of money .

Thanks for the update. Glad that you are safe!
As for A&R, I saw on their site that they will be there. Presenting what I dunno.
