I know the boat and have met the owner. Same guy who had the Mackinaw boat thread that abruptly dissappeared. Top shelf workmanship and materials.

At that price, this is pure and simple theft! Someone needs to go buy that thing now!

    I hear it's hard to row. : )

Actually, I'd go look at it (even it if is more boat than I 'need') but it is just too far...

Do more photos exist on this forum of this boat? I'm real interested. In fact, I bought the plans recently. But I'd give up the joy of another skin disorder caused by epoxy to just buy one ready to go!

Wow, that price would only get me the materials for the hull here, sails and tailer optional.

That's a half-price CY. It basically looks turnkey. A lot CY owners seem like the engine-y type though. So, that's another $1,000 for a Honda 2.

Actually, that'd still a great price.

Well, per googlemaps it's 2200 miles/36hours driving Seattle to Ludington MI. At the current price of gas that $1000 would be about the cost of driving there and back and we don't need no stinkin' outboards!

Crap! Trailer too? It'd be worth goin' and gettin' it from just about anywhere....hmmm,2200 miles divided by 50 = 44 hours times 2 = 88 divided by 12 hours a day, well, that's maybe a week roundtrip.

I better gas up the car. (Can my PiTiful Cruiser tow that?)

The ad doesn't say anything about a motor. I'm getting the sense that I'm the only one on this thread who doesn't know the seller!

I would buy that today if it were in Australia.

I can't believe this has been posted for an entire week and we do not have a proud new owner.

I guess not everyone needs a nearly 20 feet open boat without floatation. That'd be the first thing I'd address if she was mine.

If I wasn't building I'd think hard about buying it. Great value!

That has a nice feel to it. I wonder if that's just that old english iambic pentameter thing happening?

I'd buy it in a heartbeat if it weren't for:

The boat cost is just about the wood cost to get to the painted part........

It's in Maine, but.... Actually - not bad considering. The bay is 24x60x20ish high & is @ 55 or so in the winter. Lex uses a salamander a few times a day - so 3-5 gal. of kero a week?

He heats the shop alongside it (same length, but 12' ceiling) to 60 or so with a regular furnace - not sure what that costs.

    It is well insulated.
