Looks like I'm going to be in Charleston, SC for a couple of days on business, about mid-May. Since I haven't been there before, are there any places I should put on my "must see" list?
thanks, Al

Take a horse and buggy tour. A boat trip out to FT Sumpter. Then go out to Patriot's Point. http://www.patriotspoint.org/

The buggy tours will get you most of the downtown historical stuff and like Mr. Dillon said Ft. Sumter(there's no p in it, just sounds that way) is a must see. Maybe Chadd will chime in since he lives down there.
You might want to visit the Hastie Plantation and see "The Magnolia Gardens".
Al, sent you an email. Charles, didn't know if you knew or not, but they have re-started the tallship and are now planking her up. It's lookin' good! http://www.scmaritime.org/
I'm working on the Yawl crew and we're coming along pretty good, a bit slow, but that's how volunteer work goes![]()
Chadd
Chadd, I was just down there for the Wildlife Expo and it looked pretty dead over there. I had heard that they were having funding problems. If you have any connections with them, there is a bridge project in the works over on John's Island that has some Live oaks that are going to have to be cut. I can get a contact name if they are interested.
