Thanks Don, These are all good references to Jock Muir. it confirms to me that he is as famous as some other noted designers and builders. now I need to find some specifics about his yard and family. I think the family moved toward metalworking and now make "muir windlases and other hardware. which would make sense as there is some fantastic stainless steel work on my cutter.
