    Default Where to list boat?

I have a classic 60's-era Rhodes Robin sailing dinghy. Been in the family for >25 years but I'm not using her and I've finally come to terms with selling. Tried an ad on the Philly craigslist site but only got spam replies. Thought about eBay but not sure if there's a market there. Are there any good and active online sites on which to list a boat like this to find a buyer who will appreciate the history and give her a good home?

    Thanks.

There was a Robin up on eBay not long ago but I don't know if it sold.

It also occurred to me that www.by-the-sea.com has free classifieds but I don't see much 'movement' there and I believe some of the listings are 'old and sold'.

Second the recommendation for Wooden Boat Magazine Classifieds. Here, at least, you get a venue populated by WOODEN boat enthusiasts and savvy enuf to know that a good boat is worth a price.

Thanks for all the info, gang. I'll check out all of the options that you've presented especially the Wooden Boat classifieds. Craigslist just hasn't reached the right audience and I've been hesitant to spend much to list a $1500 boat. WBM sounds like it might connect me with a knowledgable buyer without taking a huge chunk out of my proceeds.

    Again, thanks for the info.

Go to one of the free blogging sites and make one for the boat with photos and description. it will turn up in a search once the search sites find it. The search terms that bring the most folks to my site are still aimed at the boat pages.

This site is centered in Texas but it exhibits nationwide reach. Most of the offereings are not wooden boats.
