Perfect is the enemy of good.
There is probably a waiting list, there is for the four wheelers.
It really is quite difficult to build an ugly wooden boat.
Man, I'm seeing a lot of weirdly configured tri type bikes on the road lately, mostly driven by old farts. This is the first one I've seen that actually looks cool, except for the Spitfire themed paint job.

I've got a builder of those on my "favorites" list so I can over them occasionally.
Couldn't possibly meet US DoT regs...
Well re-imagined, though.

I saw a Triumph Rocket III converted to a trike today. Single front, twin rear. Some old Norwegian guy in Chiang Mai has it, but I saw it at a roadside restaurant over towards the Eastern Thai/Laos border... near Nan. Conversion cost is 500,000 baht... about $17,500. Very well done. I've got a pic, but the net is hopelessly slow here. I'll post it later. He was spinning the rear tyres at just above idle as he left, in the wet. I did plenty of sideways stuff myself on that road.

Photo of the Rocket III trike. I'm not sure I'm convinced by this thing. A 2.3 litre engine - gobs of torque, but sheesh, what happens if you try and push it a bit? Massive understeer?
I think I prefer the Morgan approach... but still, its plenty of the disadvantages of a bike without the real advantages

I agree, I'd take the Moggie several times over .

They are coming here.
You need one, Gerard! I'll shop for it with you!
Triking did it better with a Guzzi donk.
Xanthorrea
A Guzzi would be fun but I reckon they went with the S&S because that's what S&S does; supply motors (and only motors) in various sizes and power ranges. If they want to up the displacement or power later, S&S can oblige with minimum or no changes to the chassis and mounting requirements. I reckon the Liberty buy-out made the choice something of a lock in as well. I have no information to compare the Triking to the Moggie; they are both non-events to all intents and purposes here. Donk....I like that. A donk is a lump is a motor, I guess. You Aussies!
I'm get'in one. Now I know what to do with that one tire chain I have left, having lost the other one.
