Default Who are the forums Nobel Laureates?

I rely on you guy/gals for fast and accurate information. I am about to invest money and huge amounts of time into a project and I need rock solid information based on experience and knowledge. You guys are my heroes, putting ego and vanity aside you deliver concise information to help me through my project. I am proposing that we nominate a list of Wooden boat forum “Nobel Laureates“. These are the guys that consistently deliver answers to questions in fine detail and a professional manner.

The list as follows is only my proposal, please add as you see fit. Members may be deceased as credit should be given for their contributions in the past.

The list as follows is in no prioritized order. It is not even alphabetical.

    Paladin (love the beer)
    Breakaway
    htom
    donald brascom
    larks
    todd bradshaw
    thorne (love the hat)
Ian McColgin (love the life preserver and captains hat with chin strap)
wizbang13 (provided he tones down on the sarcasm)
    Mrleft8
    Bob Smalser
    Jay Greer

I must add that sometimes the best answer comes from the reply of an insecure newbee’s post that sparks a thought that leads to a perfect solution!

    Let the fun begin.

Hold on! How'd I make that list?!
Most of my answers to questions are complete B.S!..... Oh.... Wait..... That kinda raises them above the answers which are not B.S., but still wrong, doesn't it?..... Carry on!

Yeah, you and Ledger when you get the "anything you can do I can do better" challenges going on.

A proposal from someone with only 100 postings? Sorry junior, you ain't got the bona fides yet. You haven't been around long enough to do much time in the trenches. And some of your choices are individuals who seldom engage in Bilge warfare. Kind of a muddled list. Why haven't you put more thought into this proposal before you tried to fly it?

Some of our more argumentative Bilge Rats do NOT need that sort of encouragement. Sheesh.

 Thank you, Stewart, but I don't feel I belong in that group. Not an hour ago I was thinking of Chuck (Paladin) and wondering what he would say in the conversation I was having.

You'd figure that by now that both Phillip Allen and John Smith would have figured out how to use google, but no such luck. . .

Why not keep your paws off other peoples text. There is enough to do here without starting a tit-for-tat campaign to adulterate what others have said.

I think you underestimate your influence around here, Doc!

After my admittedly flippant remark, I thought - 'Ol ' Glen deserves better. After all, look at the improvement we've effected in Ol' Glen over the past - how many years? 6? Man, time drags, don't it? - and although it's caused The Committee Undue Stress and Consternation (not to mention a nasty case of constipation - but I digress), seeing those baby steps progress to the Bilge Rat we see today has, well, I'm not ashamed to admit it - it's brought a tear to more than one of the old O & O passing judgement on each and every post. So Ol' Glen - congratulations. Yer Bilge-worthy!

    Whew! I'm humbled!
8 years I've been here...seems unlikely if not impossible.
I was Glenallen back in 2004, before I decided to use my actual name.
