Didn't I just wish you a HB... over on FB? Are you having TWO birthdays at once? Is this business aging you THAT quickly???? Are you that desperate to catch up with Pat in the GrouchyOldCurmudgeon race? Or, are you... Oh the heck with it. This electronic life is SO CONFUSING!!! Just have a fine--assed birthday. If if you insist on doubling up... have a doubly fine-assed birthday!!

Yoo Hoo! HB, James.
Thanks, my friends! I went out to set crab pots this morning at dawn with my dad, brother, and 6-year-old nephew Finnegan, came back for a breakfast of fresh-baked cinnamon rolls, and now all of us together are just about to head down to Cap Sante Marina where the Northwest Steam Society is having their annual steamboat meet. So I was already having a pretty good day. . .
. . .but it means a lot to me that people from all over the world have chimed in to wish me well--makes the day even better!
Amphibious Macroplankton Oughtredia doublendus
Mostly found frequenting the littoral and estuarine zones in the southern half of the Salish Sea, though sightings have been recorded both north and south of this area, and occasionally, but rarely, inland, in freshwater environments. This species lives on micro-brewed beer and dutch-oven biscuits, and displays brightly colored nylon and gore-tex plumage during the rainy season. Approach with caution!

This new ship here is fitted according to the reported increase of knowledge among mankind. Namely, she is cumbered end to end with bells and trumpets and clocks and wires. It has been told to me she can call voices out of the air or the waters to con the ship while her crew sleep. But sleep though lightly. It has not yet been told to me that the sea has ceased to be the sea.--Rudyard Kipling

Happy Birthday James. If it wasn't for you, I'd never have known what a person could do with a simple open boat. Thanks for that.

You guys are all awesome! Thanks for the good wishes!
I had a great day, it turned out, mostly out on the water. Went sailing on Phoebe and for rides in Rumo and assorted steam launches. Ate crabs. Ate salmon. Ate a whole bunch of fresh-picked blackberries.
So your well-wishing worked out fine, indeed! Thanks!

Happy belated birthday. Thanks for all the great posts and advice.
Me too. Why do these things pop up late or not at all?
I hope your BD was well and proper for a Leo.
