Default Carriage wit or "I wish I had thought of that when I had the chance"

I just listened to Talk of the Nation on NPR

It was about guns and in that regard quite biased...
my point is that there is an advantage on this forum because I can slow down and type in more thoughts because I have time to think them. Conversely, trying to keep up and respond on the NPR show is near impossible for me...

I can spot the slant... for instance the speakers (three of them) used the term "admitted to gun ownership" multiple times... maybe 10 times. It is clearly ‘leading’ to suggest that owning a gun is something that it is possible to be 'guilty' of.

There is more but I will post this for now.

I take it that you do not want anything to rebut the standard reasonable thinking of the left?

We've freakin' HEARD your views ad nauseam. You've heard OUR views and it has changed nothing.

    GIVE IT UP.

    It is bandwidth waste.

(And the phrase is "L'esprit de l'escalier", or "staircase wit".)

How about naming the program so that those interested can hear what was said rather than what you remember?

Edited to add: Just did a quick google and suspect Phillip is referring to a Talk of the Nation segment called "Guns 101", an audio of which may be available after 1800 EDT.

Ian... I DID name the program

I remember it as carriage wit as remembering in the carriage on the way home

Oh, my interest is in the obvious bias in the reporting... softball questions, probably submitted by the interviewees and such

Combining self defense and murders and policemen shooting people in the same statistic, etc

Jesus Phillip, its not a news reportage show. Its a frikkin call in radio program. You had your chance to call in and ask any type of biased question that you wanted to. . .
I never learned from a man who agreed with me.

read the op, Paul, and you will see my complaint was I couldn't listen and come up with a call-in 'question in time... I didn't write it out like I was explaining to wardd but I thought the aggravation must show... I can think of things to say (should I have called in) but only after I was 'in the carriage on the way home'

re read the op and then read what people THOUGHT I was saying (but in error)

it's all there but just not written for a sixth grade reading level...
