Anyone's boating impacted by the drought?

With most of the middle of the US impacted by the drought, I was wondering if anyone here has been been affected? I keep reading stories about lakes drying up and the Mississippi running low. Being on the eastern edge of the middle of the country, we have no drought. We've been getting clobbered with gully-washer storms every other day.

The Antique and Classic Boat Show at Clear lake, Iowa was cancelled due to low water. I am going to Madison, Wi this weekend for a vintage boat show and cruise. They are very dry. Hope it does not impact the event.

Down where I am there is lots of water, but it is very thin, and very unused. A CB boat would be ideal, but the marina is full of deep draft boats that never seem to go anywhere. I wonder why?

In Wyoming, the reservoirs that are used for irrigation are pretty low, some having water levels below the ends of the boat ramps, so trailers and vehicles can get bogged in the muck. They also have ugly, barren bathtub-ring shorelines. After scouting, I found a small natural lake not far away that's a wildlife refuge, meaning the ranchers can't drain it to water their hayfields. I'm hoping that stays high enough to sail for the rest of the season.

A dried up lake in the Illinois River flood plain just south of Peoria. It is always shallow, but last summer it was about 6 feet deep. Now it has 12-18 inch grass growing in most of it. These little flood plain lakes drying up did kill a lot of Asian Carp, so not all bad.

That is a nice byproduct. If drought could do the same to the zebra mussels....
