Yeah, I'm a fan. Not too long ago she sent out a call to area boatbuiders for a traditional wooden row boat for use in a video shoot. I don't know what she came up with.
from jones to santana to flaminco

I think I'll quit right here with a tango

For some reason I jumped from Santana to Hendrix tonight.

Vinho verde and Joan Manuel Serrat tonight.
I won't attempt a translation right now, but it's very good, 'laden with the sadness of mortal men'. "Sombras de China' are shadow puppets.
El amor vino en Abril recitando viejas coplas;

My soundtrack growing up was Skynyrd. I was 9 when Woodstock happened, a bit oblivious to what was happening in the world. First exposure to R&R was hearing the neighbor kids garage band playing Let it Be, it is a favorite to this day. I feel like I'm going back in time with youtube and adding in the greats that were just before my time. And loving every minute of it.
Cheers,

Fully exposed. Had a Beatnick living down the hall as a tenant. Frank had a large collection of the early folk guys and I began to attend Newport shows when I was a young teen. It seems there was a 4-5 year period where every weekend we'd get together and listen to some new band/sound or new album by an established group. Living near Boston, we traveled in at least once a month to the Garden or the Orpheum for some crazy, rocking show. 1/2 my graduating HS class attended Woodstock.
Think the only big guys of the time I didn't see was Zepplin and the Bay City Rollers. Didn't like some of those Brit glitz bands.

Nothing fowl here....
