In a sea of plastic and aluminum, this singular beauty caught my eye from the far side of the marina. Antalya, homeported in Auckland. Anyone got the story?

Pretty, and interesting paint color. I am interested in the story, too.
I dont know her. Did you stop by the Sailing Hall of Fame and see Windaleer, a S&S 53 ft. yawl that summers there?
Dale -- No, we didn't see Windaleer. I'll look for her next time. Antalya appears to be extremely well kept. But I was most taken by those clean, wide-open decks. Notice also there are no lifelines. I'd love to know what's she's like down below. Hardly a portlight on her, just a few small hatches and a good number of prisms.
Do you recall the steering arrangement? I don't see a wheel. Was there a tiller that just wasn't in the rudderhead at the time, maybe?

She's been for sale for a while, you might as well snap her up........75,000 pounds....Gardner.....16+ foot beam.....and wheel steering on a pedestal....and almost new......

Thanks TR. I knew someone would know. The wheel steering is interesting. There's a tiller close to the deck, the end of which has a stainless tube extension. This extension runs through a stainless unit that itself slides port and starboard on a straight track. The cable from the wheel drives this unit back and forth on the track. And because the tiller extension is free to slide in and out of the guide, the track does not have to follow the curved sweep of the tiller. It also appears to be an easy way to manage any failures with the system.
And as to the boat, I'd cast off those docklines for a long voyage in a heartbeat. The accomodations below are all to my taste, too. And how about that matching dinghy?
