Personal failures are too important to be trusted to others.

what it means is that someone complained about you... from here on, referred to as a button masher. There is a clear pattern after 10 years here. The left is not tolerant of free speech for someone not in their club. you can outsmart them easily enough; they are quite predictable. Keep your posts neutral until you figure out who the 'players' are

You've been told not to be rude too, and it's never seemed to slow you down any.
And Glen offering advice to a forum "new-comer" is not rude. I have "New comer" in quotations, because it's fairly obvious that Geo Duck is not a forum new comer, just an old troll with a new name.
Never trust a man with a clean workshop.
You don't think Scot Bell drops into the Forum to take a look around all on his own initiative?Originally Posted by Phillip Allen

I am going with the keys theory here Margo.![]()
In fact, if you can saw a penciled line, apply glue, drive nails, and bring a modest measure of patience to the task, you can build and launch a smart and able craft in as few as 40 work hours. You need not be driven by lack of tools, materials, skills, or time to abandon in frustration a project you conceived in a spirit of pleasurable anticipation.

I have to admit, I don't care much either.
We may have all come on different ships, but we're in the same boat now.

Don't act like you don't like it. You revel in placing yourself in the 'Sophie against the World' box. More over, its your goto behavior, you place yourself there even when there's no reason to do so, I think you're unable to control yourself, and your posting is more often then not blind thoughtless re-action.
Yeah yeah yeah, the world sucks and its full of all kinds of evils, not the least of which is sexism and bigotry; that doesn't mean that it needs to be constantly thrust into everyone's face, as a matter of fact, there's some worthy thought, that personalities such as yours, anonymous though they be, do their cause more harm than good. by way of example, have you followed much of ljb5's debates???

By way of example. . .
You know, I kindly followed Sophie's arguments in the various Malinda Gates, Vatican, and birth control threads; and pretty much agreed with her 100%. But then there's really interesting thread on food aid. A subject that I would like to learn more about and I would like to be able to engage in a real conversation about. Instead I don't even open that thread because there's this ******* blathering back and forth he said she said bull**** going on that has nothing to do with anything. So the effect is that I don't even read Sophie's stuff anymore; I don't care what she has to say.
