Default Finishing touches on 27' St. Pierre from Nexus Marine plans

I have been building a 27' St. Pierre Dory from Nexus Marine plans. I build on it in my spare time on hitches home from work. As a complete amateur it has been challenging but totally fulfilling. I am in the finishing stages of the boat and will launch on my next days off in mid August 2012. I don't see many St. Pierre builds out there other than the"Beatrice" and a few Hunky Dories. Anybody have similar builds in the works?

Great build. Congratulations. I'd love to hear about her performance when you get a chance. I always thought of that design more as a cabin cruiser. It's something to see her as a big day cruiser.

Went to great lengths to maintain structural integrity with the changes from a cabin cruiser to open day cruiser ...... I believe I acheived that (although I am no professional) .... I will be posting comments about her performance as soon as she goes in the water in mid August ..... thanks for the interest ...... you can see a set of photos (link to a facebook album) from the build that I included on a previous reply that shows the structue to help maintain hull integrity (deck and side wall structures as well as sole structures extending the length of the boat .....) ..... thanks for the interest .....(loved the Seinbeck Quote)!!!
