I'd be kind of interested to see the numbers on it's stability. That's a heckuva lot of free surface relative to the size of the boat.
I'll just take my chances with those salt water joys.

Adam Karpenske in Seattle has developed a production hot tub boat, no lie. http://slog.thestranger.com/slog/arc...boats-for-real

Karpenske showed one at the CWB WBS last week.

I'm still trying to figure out how they keep the slosh factor from rolling the boat.

Part of it depends on where the KG of the tub is. If it's low enough, it'll increase GM by enough to offset the virtual loss in GM.

An eggcrate grid of plastic could take care of most of the slosh. With foam flotation (and clean-ish water) you could just throw the tethered grid overboard while tub was in use. Still a lot of weight, though. And of course, customers would rather use it while underway. There are many cruise ship videos (on youtube) of the pool water washing out across the surrounding deck during rough seas. Chip

I agree, nobody in their right mind would use that boat unless the beer/wine cooler was within easy reach of the tub. Shoddy design work.

That particular one MAY not exist. But Karpenske's are quite real, I can assure you.

That sure is a lot of water high above the water line. Good thing it has a piddly little motor. That would be the one to use when the tub is full.

A floating house is nothing like a vee bottomed power boat hull.
