The other day, on another thread, a New Hampshire forum member was saying some rather disparaging things about the great state of Vermont. Basically saying that it's full of Merlot-sipping, totu-eating, bed-wetting, panty-wearing, socialist pinkos. Someone else remarked on the Live Free or Die motto on NH license plates. Personnally, I think that's the coolest license plate motto I know of. It shows true grit, so to speak. Not just some saying to entice tourists to come. So far, the Tea-Party hasn't hijacked it like they did with Don't Tread on Me, another great American saying.
I've lived in two states, NY and Vermont. New York's motto is "The Empire State" which I find a bit pompous and over the top. Vermont's is "The Green Mountain State" which I find a bit lacking.
So, who out there has a better license plate motto than New Hampshire's?
