Old pal

Yesterday, we had to get our old pal, Spot - 15 yr. old fox terrier put to sleep, heart failure, could no longer stand, eat, drink. She was saved from abusive owners at 6 months, climbed the Maumturk mountains in Connemara, the Slieve Blooms, the Comeraghs, cruised on the River Shannon, canoed with us on the River Slaney, walked most of the canal towpaths with us, chased deer, killed rats, stayed in good hotels with us. We miss her dreadfully.

Sorry to hear it but it sounds like Spot led a pretty good life after being saved.
