Eugenics - usually considered to be a bad thing, especially as it was practiced up to the end of WW2, but advances in genetic and reproductive technology have opened up interestiing possibilites that avoid the moral problems of the past.
Sex selection in general - morally questionable, perhaps, but understandable. May cause significant social problems if too widespread.
Sex selection via elective abortion - morally questionable for sure.
