Default PL premium for bonding pink boatd

I need to put some floatation under the seats of my dinghy and have some pink board house insulation and a tube of PL premium. Will the PL work with the pink board?? I read the instructions and they did not say one way or the other.. I was tempted to puncture the tube and try a test piece but hate to waste the tube if it will not work.
    Thanks,

Many adhesives have solvents that melt styrofoam. Dunno about PL Premium const. adhesive.
There's another PL adhesive particularly for styrofoam insulation board.
But why bother? Epoxy works if you sand the board lightly with coarse paper.

My experience with this very question is that pl will work . . . kinda. It will adhere the stuff to other stuff, yes. But the bond has very little strength (I have always been able to pull the pieces apart with my hands and little in the way of effort), so I don't depend on it staying together under stress. It's easy to test this yourself.

Perhaps the bond in the pic above will work fine, and perhaps that's because it has a lot of surface that is glued and there is likely little stress on it. In any case, I'd want to test the heck out of it if it was important that it stayed bonded.

Epoxy is what I use, but I'm now going to go find this product designed for gluing foam boards. It may not cost much less than epoxy, but it will certainly be a lot less work to use.
