    Default Taller oarlock provider?

I need a set taller oarlocks for my wherry. I've built a set of oars so we two can row together. I have a set that was purchased some years back, but I cannot find any record of who I purchased them from. They are brass with an extra long shank that raises the oar a few inches higher than the standard oarlock.
I've tried searches, but have had no luck in finding a supplier. Anyone have any ideas? I guess I could have someone braze extensions onto a standard size, but the ones I have are of good quality and may be as cheap as modifying a set.

Any help anyone can give me will be greatly appreciated.

Brass or Silicon Bronze? The driftboat hardware suppliers have various large and tall oarlocks available. You'll need exact measurements for height and inside dimensions of the "Y", as many of the driftboat oars are larger than average.

Thanks. The ones I'm trying to match are silicon broze and raise the oar 3 5/8" above the oarlock fitting and will accept a 2 1/4" dia (max) oar. These oarlocks have one side of the horn taller than the other and the opening is necked down to 1 13/16". I think it was some foundry that I ordered them from, but I don't have any paperwork that I can find, and I haven't had any luck googling them. I'll try the driftboat outfitters, but most that I looked up are steel and not the style I want.

Duck Trap sells some very nice cast bronze oarlocks and sockets that may fit the bill. These are their taller and beefier ones for rowing standing up.

I bought a set of those Duck Trap ones for Xena and they were quite expensive but very stout lifetime units. Properly installed, they work great.

Thanks guys for the link, but these are too large for my use. I just need a little lift ( 3 1/2") to make clearing my legs easier when rowing. If I got the standup style, I'd need to machine then to fit my oarlocks and also reduce the height...that is a possibility, though!

Raise the oarlocks and lower your seat cushion (gel kayak pad) - I've done both on various boats and it works quite well. Are you rowing with overlapping handles, and do you have footrests to push your feet against?
