Default A cry for help ... the pcford story.

So, if you were going to go get help, what type would it be? Charm school to work past the mouth breathing? Or perhaps lessons on horse hair paint brush maintenance?

Dude, you're killing me. Can we expect a thread discussing James frikkin Mcmullen's impending apprenticeship under Cleek to become a fullfledged O&O?

I would love to contribute but i have my hands full just keeping Glenn under control.

Hes running amok from thread to thread with desperate cry's for help.

Now he is a Atheist commie.

That combined with him being in Texas is a dangerous situation.

I had to walk him to the 7/11 just the other day cause he needed skittles..

PC does NOT issue cries for help. Just demands for more rum and smarter discourse!

Rabbit bees sound somewhat terrifying..... Long eared, buck toothed, twitchy nosed, honey producing, flying varmints with stingers.....

Anyone on this forum for a period of time has apprenticed under Cleek. Newbies expecting to build boats the first day at the shop are usually surprised when they get handed the broom and dustpan

C'mon - James is too young for the first "O" . Mr. Cleek is just training him to be "&O".
There's nothing more expensive than a "free" boat.

Mostly found frequenting the littoral and estuarine zones in the southern half of the Salish Sea, though sightings have been recorded both north and south of this area, and occasionally, but rarely, inland, in freshwater environments. This species lives on micro-brewed beer and dutch-oven biscuits, and displays brightly colored nylon and gore-tex plumage during the rainy season. Approach with caution!

Don't let him feed you that. Everything he knows, he learned from watching Harvey... and yet he's still unable to work up the gumption to build his first traditional sealskin kayak! <G>

Ummm. . .David? Have you ever smelled an actual sealskin kayak? Sweet Jeebus!

All props to my homie Harvey, nonetheless. We used to stay late after work at Crosscut to build boats together you know, way, way back in the day. Harvey is a badass.

    Pffft... excuses, excuses. <G>

Harvey's working on book #3 now. I hope he becomes rich and famous soon. Amazing amount of research he's done.

Did you two know each other way back in the day? And did you know Ernie, too?

Which reminds me, I need to call Ernie. I'd like to hear what he's up to.

"you two". . .did you mean me and Harvey, or David G and his alter-ego?

If its Harvey, then yes, I've known him for like 20 years. Ernie I only met a few years ago.

We didn't really know each other. I shopped at C'cuts. James worked there. He was known to the customers as the 'odd' one... but enthusiastic <G>Harvey was the 'earnest' one. Didn't know Ernie back then.

To be serious for just a moment -- it's sad to me that the mezzanine is so quiet these days, and no boats are being built up there. That activity always lent the joint an air of purpose and vigor!

Harvey must've been pretty earnest if he was known as the "earnest" one, considering James was in the vicinity.

James, at the time, was more enthusiastic than earnest. Think Irish Setter! <G>

I don't think James even knew I worked on boats. I also did furniture, cabinetry, architectural millwork, and some exterior goodies (gates, gazebos, pergolas, etc.). I talked to Harvey more about boats.

BUT... back to the man of the hour: PC Ford. He always knows what the thread is about. Sometimes he's wrong... but he always KNOWS, dangit! <G>

Wait! Is this turning into a Seinfeld thread?
