    Default Darwin sez no

The doctrine of nonresistance against arbitrary power, and oppression, is absurd, slavish, and destructive of the good and happiness of mankind.
Personal failures are too important to be trusted to others.

Phillip A difference here. The Darwin Award is won by someone who isn't thinking at all. Falling off my boat is not worthy of an award as the incident may have been out of my control. An avalanche is out of one's control no matter how much someone plans for every contingency.
