This was my call to make, and I have spoken. You earned it accordingly.

Shop's too big, the tools look too well used, and there's no flower pots...... FAIL! Yea-donn!

Looking at all those white assed legs in that pic I'm guessing the lecture is on the value of SPF50 sunblock. . .

    Jesus people, get some sun!!!

I need a shop like that. Only I'd add a removable section of the floor at the center of the space with the hole fitting the waterline of our cruiser, so her rail would be a bit less than waist high (trailer having been backed onto a foundation floor below) like Edey & Duff had for their Stone Horse.

It is the shop at the Center for Wooden Boats in Seattle. Hence the white legs.

You will note that the attentive students have their legs crossed left over right, while the instructor has his legs crossed right over left...... Once they have mastered the art of O&O, then, and only then, will they be ready to leave.....

This was a talk I gave at the Center for Wooden Boats on finishing. The occasion was the home built boat show; a fine event. However, the event has been callously abandoned by its original convener.

And by the way, think of cloud cover as a friendly gray blanket that keeps pacific northwesterners cozy.

    Assuming you are addressing me:

    uhhh, thanks, doc. (I think.)

Rest assured that this is not my shop...my shop was much, much bigger....and more chaotic. I was doing a talk at the CWB for an event which is not to be held this year because the main coordinator flaked out.

for the last dozen years I have drifted between the shadowy worlds of boat restoration (at the owner's location) and video.

By the way...I am not the only inmate here whose vitae includes both classic boat restoration and video. The redoubtable Dan Cooley (Betty B) and one or two more here also have similar resumes.

A trap door in the middle of a shop floor? That's just begging to have all the shop sweepings end up going out the hole. Then how would you get the trailer for the boat under there?

By the way...the all time record for smiley use was achieved on the Amanda Knox pro-guilt sites...full of animated smileys...looking at them would give you seasickness. Really sufficient to demonstrate the innocence of the accused.

Thank you for your question. The correct pronunciation of Yeadon is Yae-dun(n).

However, when spoken aloud, P-Donn could easily be mistaken for Pee'd-On. As in, I just got pee'd on by P-Donn.

Language is a living thing, and so is punctuation. You may not be an early adopter, but I doubt you can changes this, Mr. Ford. And it you're going to insist on formal punctuation, I'm going to push for your nickname to be Mr. Ford.

Not exactly. They are for the brain dead.

I will point out that I can't recall yeadon using them. What does this mean?

Hmmm. A point well taken. One has to admit, save for the mustache, the resemblance is uncanny.

Well, it's been said that he resembles the musician Marshall Crenshaw...I would hold that Nietzsche is more probable. Does anyone know the age that yeadon is claiming? Thank you.
