I need a shop like that. Only I'd add a removable section of the floor at the center of the space with the hole fitting the waterline of our cruiser, so her rail would be a bit less than waist high (trailer having been backed onto a foundation floor below) like Edey & Duff had for their Stone Horse.

Rest assured that this is not my shop...my shop was much, much bigger....and more chaotic. I was doing a talk at the CWB for an event which is not to be held this year because the main coordinator flaked out.

for the last dozen years I have drifted between the shadowy worlds of boat restoration (at the owner's location) and video.

By the way...I am not the only inmate here whose vitae includes both classic boat restoration and video. The redoubtable Dan Cooley (Betty B) and one or two more here also have similar resumes.

A trap door in the middle of a shop floor? That's just begging to have all the shop sweepings end up going out the hole. Then how would you get the trailer for the boat under there?

However, when spoken aloud, P-Donn could easily be mistaken for Pee'd-On. As in, I just got pee'd on by P-Donn.
