    Default WBS accommodation recomend?

Pretty sure I'm coming to Mystic WBS. I'm thinking I might want to be out of town just a little bit for a little quiet and hopefully a bit better rate? Any recommends?

    Any forum gatherings planned?

Everything downtown is already booked anyways. Look for something at exit 90 of Interstate 95. There's a number of national chain hotels there.

Look forward to seeing you there. Be sure to look up the various forum member (bilgerat) activities: Margo's party, Abbotts, Whaler porch cocktails, etc etc

    Details, man. I can't crash a party I don't know about. (Unless that's the point... )

If you sign up for the John Gardner Small Craft Workshop you can reserve to stay aboard the Joseph Conrad for $15 a night on Friday and Saturday if they aren't completely booked up. See the Mystic Seaport site for details.

to the best of my knowledge it goes like this:

Friday night Margo's Party at lefty and carter's house
Saturday late afternoon: cocktails on the front porch of the Whaler
Saturday evening: trip to Abbotts. (Abbotts is a lobster shelfish place where you place your order at a shack and then eat at picnic tables)
Late Saturday evening: barhop around downtown Mystic
Sunday evening is often small groups dinners (four to eight people per table) at S&P Oyster house
There will also be groups that go off to Mystic Pizza and Drawbridge IceCream. . .

Just FYI..... I stopped by the local "No tell Motel" today to see if they were still as barely acceptable as they were 12 years ago..... The answer is a resounding NO! It has devolved into something just below foul beyond belief.

Do NOT stay at The Valley Motel, in Guilford!!!!!!

Thanks Paul - I'll be getting a relatively early start on the drive back to Ottawa on Sunday, but I'll probably attempt one or more of the Saturday events.

Paul.. I have heard that Mystic Pizza is closed. Rumor someone was playing with the books. There is another pizza joint across the street and at about 1 o'clock across from the bank. Pizza is better too.
Brian check out the Guilford Suites. Sounds fancy, but they are suites and priced reasonably. I think the name scares people off.
