Default President Obama attacks Army Lieutenant

onlookers non-plused. Or he was starting an initiative about promoting fatherhood, but it is hard to tell from that picture

I love the bilge political thread hyperbole game.
Fatherhood is pretty cool also. If you cant drive a stick shift for a few weeks but you taught you children to drive one life is good.
In fact, if you can saw a penciled line, apply glue, drive nails, and bring a modest measure of patience to the task, you can build and launch a smart and able craft in as few as 40 work hours. You need not be driven by lack of tools, materials, skills, or time to abandon in frustration a project you conceived in a spirit of pleasurable anticipation.

The doctrine of nonresistance against arbitrary power, and oppression, is absurd, slavish, and destructive of the good and happiness of mankind.
Personal failures are too important to be trusted to others.

Looks like some guys sharing a joke and a bit of junk food. Sorta like sneaking a smoke when Michelle's not looking.

The Army lieutenant was taken to the emergency room but doctors were unable to revive him.

His identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

I have been "tickle Tortured " before and i can assure you its no joke.

I gave up where the chocolate was hidden..

To think our President would resort to this is beyond belief...

Well i suppose he did not go for the Belly button tickle but probably was his next move.

Nah, it wasn't an attack. He's just showing the young grasshopper his wicked muslim ninja fly-swatting move.

Kenny's BBQ Smokehouse - Capitol Hill, Washington, D.C.

I've eaten there - pretty good stuff. The BBQ sauce was a little thin, but they have to cater to a middle-of-the-road audience.

White House Forgets to Pay Father’s Day Lunch Tab

    By Mary Bruce
    Jun 14, 2012
Amid the bustle of President Obama’s surprise stop for barbecue Wednesday the White House apparently overlooked one key detail: the bill.
Celebrating Father’s Day early, the president had lunch with two service members and two local barbers at Kenny’s BBQ on Capitol Hill.
Apparently, focus groups think ‘lunching’ with white service members (the blue collar vote) and black barbers (the black vote) makes for ‘good optics.’
As the group chatted about fatherhood, the president enjoyed a steaming plate of pork ribs with hot sauce, collard greens, red beans and rice and cornbread.
The bill for the president and his four guests was $55.58, but was left unpaid at the point of sale, according to pool reports.
The White House corrected the oversight and settled up the tab by the end of the business day.
And you can bet it was the taxpayers who paid for this PR stunt, and not the Obama campaign.
But, of course, Mr. Obama didn’t ‘forget’ anything. He is simply used to someone else picking up the tab for him. That is the story of his life. Celebrities don’t have to pay their own way.
Besides, actually ‘paying for things’ is a foreign concept for Democrats. In fact, it’s a small miracle that he didn’t hit these people up for a campaign contribution. Since that is usually the only reason he eats with anyone.
Still, this was a bit ironic, given how Obama had just accused the Republicans ‘dining and dashing’ the night before:
“It’s like somebody goes to a restaurant, orders a big steak dinner, a martini and all that stuff, then just as you’re sitting down they leave and accuse you of running up the tab.”by ordering a steak dinner with martinis, and then sticking him with the bill."
    Talk about instant karma.
By the way, notice that Obama also forgot to leave a tip. Such is his concern for the little people, like waiters and secretaries.
Also, notice what Obama eats whenever he manages to slip Michelle’s leash.

Grow a brain, people. Of course Obama didn't pull out his own wallet to pay for lunch ... that would have been simply a photo-op.

I've worked and travelled with 5 different Ministers from 2 different political parties, in two separate jurisdictions. When we've travelled, it has been almost without exception to meetings of a dozen or so of their counterparts.

None of those people EVER paid a business lunch bill themselves - that's why they have staff. Staff to keep and file the receipts, to ensure that a bill was paid from the correct billing code, etc. etc. These days, politicians' billing allowances and claims are scrutinized as never before.

People may claim that the lunch itself was a bit of photo-op grandstanding ... and it was. But so is the kerfuffle about the bill. Grow up.

Didn't see a whole lot of guffaws in the linked story, despite the pretty caricature picture you'd posted. But maybe it was there, hiding behind the author's snipe.
