If the dead guy is guilty of molesting the child then I agree that he got what he deserved.
I did notice, though, that the investigation is ongoing. Did you all miss that part or just choose to ignore it?

They could have had an argument about money or something, buddy killed the guy and lied about it.

IIRC, the relevant Texas law specifically mentions stopping sexual abuse as a circumstance when the use of deadly force is ok (possibly even recommended).

The child was the witness, and was(is still?) in the hospital. Anyone who knows a 4 year old mind will know the trauma this girl went thru will be told as the truth. I have been in a close situation with one of my daughters- and was hitting- not asking. (Stepsons friend -a minor male-and my 3yr old- it was stopped FAST.)The Sheriffs were on it fast also, with special investigators for children. The truth was right on the mark from her. Thank God that 4 year old girl had the ability to scream.

I've been in the rockspider section of our gaol (jail) system... just visiting mind you. Yep... they look just like the bloke next door.
