Pretty nasty. I suspect this little vignette is a preview of what's to come:

Lawmaker's Son Outed in Primary Battle

The Denver Post reports that a GOP primary battle between two Colorado state legislators has gotten so heated that one campaign outed their own candidate's gay son to show that she was more anti-gay than her opponent by voting against civil unions for gays and lesbians.

Said Rep. Marsha Looper (R): "I am disappointed that my campaign manager forwarded an e-mail that would include any member of my family in policy discussions."

I blame us. I'm much more interested in the voting record my reps leave behind.

If you've got two guys running for office, and one of them has had an affair or two, but votes they way you like 90% of the time, while the other one has a perfectly clean private life, but votes they way you like only 10% of the time, who do you vote for?
Congress begins every day with a prayer. Enough said.

I find the op question odd coming from the guy who's whole life is defined by visiting one political turd followed by another followed by another ad infinitem
The doctrine of nonresistance against arbitrary power, and oppression, is absurd, slavish, and destructive of the good and happiness of mankind.

Well played, by the guy who complains constantly about ad hominem attacks. What specifically did I say in this thread which gave you cause to take this shot?

OR were you just in the mood?

Norm, I didn't even read the thread, as I don't like such things generally... I just thought it funny you should complain when you have (basically) declared political turd taxonomy to be your hobby

A shame I didn't see the humor.... but then again, no one else did, either.

It was a simple comment about a C&P, nothing more. Nothing that deserved a 'shot'.

you forgot the 'target of opportunity' part... I'm just here to entertain myself most of the time

one campaign outed their own candidate's gay son to show that she was more anti-gay than her opponent by voting against civil unions for gays and lesbians.
How that kid must feel - outed by his own mother all in the name of red meat politics. "They eat their young."
