Re: Voter fraud epicemic? Well... probably not
What is it with Ohio and Florida? We've become the petri dishes of putrid political practices.
Every election cycle they refine their game a little more and push particularly hard when they feel an arse kicking coming on, like this year for example. They only had to fine a couple of high school teachers $1000 for helping students register to vote and not turn the forms into the election official within 48 hours. That put a quick stop to that non sense. The League of Women Voters has been pretty much non existant this year and are afraid to do voter registration drives due to the stiff fines of $1000 for each tardy form that's turned in. So that all seems fairly effective so far.
The latest thing our fearless leaders in Florida have done is turn a list over to heads of voting districts with the names of a few hundred thousand voters who are to be checked, cross referenced with the Departmnet of Homeland Security and Department of Immigration and Nationalization, in order to ensure they aren't illegal aliens and therefore ineligable to vote. (Who TF pays for all that?) Well, the majority of the names on those suspect lists are, wait for it, Hispanic names. That's going over like a fart in church in a state with a substancial number of hispanics and Latino citizens, and people are well aware of who has been in power and who it is that's pushing this blatant, concerted effort to surpress voters.
Hopefully with this latest push these ALEC-owned legislators will finally go a little to far and it will end up biting them, good and hard, right where the good lord split them.
