Winthrop L. Warner Typhoon, 1938

Hello all. I am new here and registered as I was looking at older posts regarding the Winthrop L. Warner designed Typhoon. I could not find the prior post and did not know where to write, So I am here.

Typhoon (built in 1938) is alive and well,still regularly sailed and lying in Oxnard, California. She has been anchored and lived aboard in Catalina for the past 2 years and is for sale. She maintains virtually all of her original fixtures and hardware, the exception being a Yanmar diesel installed in the 1980's. She can be seen at The Yacht Exchange (Marina Del Rey, Ca) website with some great pictures. Certainly a nostalgic look at a great little yacht. Thank you.

That's a very nice and well kept boat. Beautifully detailed in typical Warner style.

Does anyone have any information available on this particular boat? Any production numbers, etc?

Check the wooden boat index. I recall an article on Warner that mentions this boat design. Also the book...I think it's called Boats of Mystic, oe Mystic Boats. This book features about 6 or 7 designers - Warner being one of them. I have the book and will check to see what is mentioned when I get back home.
