I've been moving along on my 27' Ed Monk cruiser since I first posted here. Just wanted to document it all, now that I've figured out how to post photos.
I bought her in Jan 12' in VT and hauled her down to NC. Fortunately this past winter was mild so I've been able to put a lot of after work and weekends into her. I'm really enjoying the process and I'm learning a lot about boat construction (at 51).
I went into this knowing she had rot, but what started out as me thinking I could scarf in a few new peices of plywood on the forward deck has turned into, a lot more deck, new shelfs, 7 planks, preplacing rotton frame tops and the 2 forward frames in the chain locker, replacing the step ups on both sides and the covering boards ,scarfing in some bad spots in the stem, and replacing shear strakes .
