Default Anybody seen one of these before?

Seems kinda Dr. Seussian to me, in a certain charming, but slightly odd, way...

Very stylish 18ft lobster boat hull with deep keel in search of a boat restoration hobbiest. Previous owner began restoration of this homebuilt boat, but never finished. I have too many toys, and this one has to go. Hull seems very solid, but needs some deck work and interior wood work. Has a running 8hp Sabb diesel motor that is very sought after by hobby boat builders. The running diesel, feathering propeller and shaft are highly sought after items by boat building enthusiasts and often fetch my asking price. The boat is an added bonus. Have title for boat, not trailer. The trailer is not road worthy. Asking $2,500 or best reasonable offer.

Sure is cute, If I had to listen to a sabb all day I would shoot myself, (with rum).

Too small for a pilot house, it does indeed look like 1fish2fish kind of boat.

Here she is, very roughly rendered, with that silly old thing removed:

Better, and it would probably be good for an open boat here in the Bay, but still, it looks a bit too stumpy for me, though it is hard to really tell from a photo

Would look well with a period (circa 1900) 3/4 cabin.

    Whatever floats your boat....

I saw this at a boat show a few years ago --

I'm sure it was the apple of somebody's eye.

I've seen it in the water since, under power. Better but still looks odd. See the break in the planking, clinker aft, carvel forward and a very strange indented counter.

Looks to me like it is one of those Nordic style power boats that are common around Sweden, Denmark, and up that way. Someone posted some links to a series of pictures of a bunch of them here a while back. That Saab engine fits right in with that style of boat.

On it's way to a Hobbit festival no doubt.

Looks like Antoni Gaudi designed it.
