I've always bought them at Hamilton Marine but noticed the other day that there were none on the shelf. I'm glad I have a few. I really like them.

    Read and weep: http://twitter.com/#!/DTEPStore/statuses/16632483639

From http://www.dtep-archive.com/proprep.htm : "discontinued by the manufacturer in 2010"

This is terrible. Might be time for an email campaign to ressurect them.

The manufacturer is/was Spectrum Razor Tools which seems to have been subsumed by Pacific Handy Cutter: http://www.pacifichandycutter.com/products.php

Here's Specturm Razor Tools contact info:

    2968 Randolph Ave.
    PO Box 10869
    Costa Mesa, CA 92627-0869
    Phone: (714) 662-1033
    Fax: (714) 662-7595

Their web site http://www.razortools.com/ seems to be defunct.

Spectrum Razor Tools address is now listed in the yellow pages as Pacific Handy Cutter: http://www.dexknows.com/business_pro...ter-l806421687

    Pacific Handy Cutter's info is

Sad news. They were my favorite.

Mine also. Very sad news, though a little late on my part. What small scraper comes close?

Sad indeed. I have 3 and all have been sharpened so many times that the blades are no longer close to their original shape. I've used the small Bahco scraper. It has a small replaceable carbide blade. The carbide holds it's edge, but a newly sharpened ProPrep cuts better.
