Default Pirates cove Alabama wooden boat show

Most of these are from the show but a few are of boats anchored out behind Pirates cove. Also a few of the ones anchored are fiberglass.

There were two Dragoni last year! I was at West Marine in Mobile and saw the poster for it about an hours ago! Last year I went over and sailed with one of the Dragons.

This show was labelled 'wooden boats gone wild' last year by a friend who was referring to the Pirate's Cove atmosphere of hosting this show at a place with lots o' powerboats, boom boxes and girls in thongs, with the appropriate amount of liquor involved to blend it all together. It's actually a great little show but if you are really a wooden boat person you might want to go early, before the afternoon rush at the beach hits full swing.

We went this morning (Sunday) early and it was pretty quite over there, yesterday it was a little crazy from what I could tell from across the water and the boat traffic. I see my pictures are getting re-sized ? Is that from here or photobucket ? I re-sized them to 400x400 so I am just wondering if they were to big or did I really end up making them to small ?

Thanks for the pics. These are 400x400, not resized by anyone. I usually resize mine to 1600 pixel width. Gotta remember that most people have 20" plus monitors these days. Course then you run into problems with storage space with your free photo hosting site.

When I tried bigger it said the file was to big so I went through and changed them all to 400x400 to get it to accept them. When I first put the up they were bigger like the ones is post #3, anyway I am just trying to learn how to do it right and I am confused by what happened. Does everybody still see the larger pics in post #3 ? they were all like that when I first put them up. I am thinking they were not re-sized by photobucket yet when they first went up ?

Was the only decent looking ferro-cement boat I've ever seen called "Sea Meant" still there?

Nice pics. Good variety of all types. Looks like a fun weekend overall and not so much pressure to see everything. Wish I could have gone.

Sea-meant was anchored out, most if not all the boats that stay at the marina gave their slips up for the show. I really like how the non-skid is done on Sea-meant. The show was great, I usually go when it's packed full of people so it was a nice change of pace to be there early Sunday.
All the pictures are showing the same size now, I am guessing Photobucket was lagging behind processing the size change.
