    For efficiency and quick reduction of sail I'd prefer a wishbone cutter rigged ketch. (with a gaff/gunter rig on the mizzen)

    I think the term 'catastrophic failure' was invented for those things.
    Never heard of a gaff or gunter rig on a mizzen with a wishbone main,I just can't see how the rigs would stay up without a standing backstay... but they don't tend to anyway .
