Thumbs up 7 yrs. Smole Free

Noon April 28th marked 7 years as a nonsmoker.

Bit of a ripoff though. When I first quit people were telling me that the body renews its self after 7 years. All new cells.
I don't feel new. Maybe they meant used but new to me. Like that old rusty Stanley #4 that I bought the other day.

I've never had smoles, myself... I understand they can wreck a lawn

35 years for me. At the end I was up to 4 packs a day, ugh. Only a severe case of strep throat allowed me to break away cleanly. Keep up the good work.

My son is coming for a visit, landing on the late boat tonight from Vancouver. He'll be 28 in June.

Shortly after he started grade two, he came home with this question ..." Dad, why do you smoke, my teacher says smoking can kill you. Don't you want to see me grow up?" His older sister soon chimed in with her own ten-year old's irrefutable logic, and I was squarely caught in the headlights of my own responsibility.

It's been 21 years for me, come last month. / Jim

Good show. I only gave up a pipe since MaryEllen has asthma and that's easy compared to the addiction of ziggies. This is all assuming that your misspelling was not just dropping an 'r' at the end and you are now free of our best wood-guy.

I smoked pipes and cigars years ago and would love to have a pipe again, but I know that, first, it would make me sick, and then I would buy a pack of cigarettes. I know I just can not go there.
If I make it to eighty, or if a doctor tells me I'm terminal, I intend to buy a pipe and start again. If I make it to ninety, I'm going to try heroin.

Another ex- smoker bragging about how great he is for having stopped killing himself, everyone around him and the world in general. Well done!

Jeez, don't you guys have something better to do with your time now that you're not out huffing in the doorway every fifteen minutes?

Yeah, I know, I'm just mean.
